The English voice of Geneva

Living in a foreign country is like being in a romantic relationship. In the hazy excitement of newness, everything seems, if not perfect, ripe with potential. The slight annoyances and conflicts of everyday are pushed aside in the pursuit of bliss. However, as everyone knows real life cannot be side-stepped and like your significant other, you can be sure that your host country will not approach the details of living with the same, safe and familiar manner to which you are accustomed. Giggle at the foibles and intricacies of your partner as you compromise, learn to smile at your own shortcomings and oddities (we all have them) and have a friend to accompany you on the journey to consult, console and with whom most importantly to laugh. Geneva Times wants to be that friend.
For and by the Anglophone community, our objective is to give voice to the more than 50,000 English speakers in the area, to keep our audience
informed about what’s happening in and around While the focus is local, the Geneva Times has not forgotten the global community and the magazine’s content reflects the humanitarian spirit of its founder, a former Peace Corps and international aid volunteer. The magazine is unique because of its commitment to public service. The Geneva Times gives back! Each issue highlights a worthwhile and carefully selected social cause, such at the WHO programme to eliminate Polio, to which we pledge a portion of our advertising sales and revenue.
